About Deborah Stringer

Deborah Stringer is an artist on the East coast of Australia.

With a mind that "thinks in pictures", she has been an artist since pre-school.

As a young woman she taught art at several Sydney schools but soon began raising children, sailing yachts, and managing & sound mixing east coast rock bands. Her spare time was spent creating pictures, some of which are available here.
 
Her artistic influences include:
     Cecil Wilson, Pamela Kidd, Margaret Ollie, &
     van Gogh, Pollock, Whiteley, et al.

Her days are filled by:
    Drinking coffee like an Ethopian
    Hand feeding the local birds
    Jungle gardening
    Waving to the bats
        as they fly home in the evenings
    Creating pictures from memory
